Technology

Thermal imaging is a current technology that has numerous applications that can save you money by detecting potential problems before you can see them with the naked eye.

How does it work?

Thermal imaging works by letting you see the temperature of a surface. The special thermal imaging camera that we use is able to see infrared light. By looking for unusual variations in the temperature of an object, we can detect a variety of different issues, such as mold, electrical faults, and water damage.

Is it invasive?

Not at all! Thermal imaging is done through a specialized camera, so there are no invasive or destructive procedures. We simply point the camera at various locations on the building or equipment, and analyze the results.

What kind of problems can you detect?

If the problem can be identified by hot spots or temperature variations, we can detect it. Common examples of problems that can be detected using thermal imaging technology are mold and water damage, electrical faults and wiring problems, detecting drafts or flaws in insulation, and mechanical failures.

What do the images look like?

The images produced by the camera are colored according to the temperature of the surface. Hotter areas appear in reds and whites, while cooler areas appear as blues and purples. Take a look!
